Now that your most important job—raising your children—has shifted into a new phase, wondering what to do next is very common.

This is especially true if you were a stay-at-home Mom like I was.

Now What?

In anticipation of your last little birdy flying from the nest, did you ask yourself:

  • What about me?

  • What will I do after taking care of our kids—with a shortened to-do list and a house that stays clean for days?

  • What will I do with all my extra time—with less laundry to do, smaller meals to make, and no more sports/other events to go to?

These are very common questions and concerns. But, rather than jumping right into something new, take a pause…

After taking care of everybody else for so long, you deserve to take some time for yourself, to think about this new chapter of life you’re entering into.

The first, and very important, step is to acknowledge your Empty Nester feelings.

Once you’ve worked through all your thoughts and emotions, then you’ll be able to think about what you want to do next.

Find Your Next

Does everybody in your family have their own thing now…everybody, but you?

If so, you’re not alone. You’re in the right place to help you move through this transition, starting with understanding what you’re feeling, and then slowly exploring what your next chapter could look like.

There are plenty of articles about Moms feeling sad and lost once the kids move away from home, but few help them figure out how to move beyond the empty nest.

While everyone else seems to keep moving forward—spouse, kids—for Mom, things can feel quieter and more uncertain, in a way that’s hard to explain.

And we’re here to talk about it.

Whether you were a stay-at-home Mom, or one who worked outside the home while raising your kids, it’s time to FIND YOUR NEXT for work and fun!

Reconnect

All work and no play? No thank you!

It’s also time for some fun!

As an Empty Nester Mom, you have way more time to RECONNECT with who and what you love.

First, reconnect with yourself…

Then, find different ways to reconnect with your spouse, as well as family and friends who you haven’t seen in a while.

Empty Nester Life

If you’re trying to figure out what’s next for your EMPTY NESTER LIFE, start by reminiscing about what brought you and your husband together all those years ago.

How’d you meet? What interests and hobbies did you share back then? What fun activities did you do together?

Think about what you’d love to reconnect with and do more of again, as well as new things you want to try.
